For guidance and discernment

Needing guidance

Jesus my Teacher, guide me along your way,
and help me to piece together the jigsaw of life in your kingdom.
When I make decisions, lead me to the heart of the matter,
and when I face conflict, do not let my own panic drown out
the still, small voice of your wisdom.

My dearest Lord,
be now a bright flame to enlighten me,
a guiding star to lead me,
a smooth path beneath my feet,
and a kindly shepherd along my way,
today and for evermore.

Needing guidance

Show me your ways, O Lord,
and teach me your paths.
Lead me in your truth, and guide me,
for you are the God of my salvation,
and my hope is in you all the day long.

Pilgrimage of life

Christ our Guide,
stay with us on our pilgrimage through life:
When we falter, encourage us,
when we stumble, steady us,
and when we have fallen, pick us up.
Help us to become, step by step, more truly ourselves,
and remind us that you have travelled this way before us.
