Archdiocesan Pilgrimage to the Holy Land
We are forming a group from the Archdiocese of Hobart to make a pilgrimage to the Holy Land with our own chaplain, Fr Peter O'Loughlin (Bellerive-Lindisfarne Parish). This pilgrimage gives you the opportunity to experience the very land where Jesus lived and worked His ministry, you will gain a privileged insight into His life as the child of Nazareth, healer of Galilee and our Saviour on Calvary.
The Pilgrimage will run for 2 weeks during the September school holidays and is open to everyone, so make sure you tell you parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends about it.
There will also be Information Sessions about this Pilgrimage held on the same dates and location as the above Immersion Information, but will be run at 6.00pm in each of the locations.
National Youth Ministry Convention
This is the first of its kind in Australia and will be held from 1st - 3rd October, 2010 in Melbourne. This convention is for leaders of youth ministry to form their knowledge and skills in this area to help develop the youth ministry in your parish, school or movement. This will be a fantastic and valuable opportunity, so please consider whether you would like to go, or whether your parish, school or movement could send somebody. More information on this will be available closer to the date.
Southern ACT1V8 Masses
Click here for an ACT1V8 Mass Roster
The ACT1V8 Mass was born out of the ideas of WYD pilgrims to give those, specifically aged 15 - 35, an opportunity to share Mass together and connect to the wider Tasmanian Church Community and their own Parish. An ACT1V8 Mass will be held once a month (generally the first Sunday of every month) in a different Parish around the Southern Deanery, hosted by that regional YACs (Young ACT1V8-ed Catholics) and will be accompanied by an activity. Everyone aged 15-35 from around the Southern Deanery (and any visitors from the North & North West) are invited to attend the ACT1V8 Mass with everyone else from the Deanery. We hope also that the wider Parish community hosting the ACT1V8 Mass will also gain from the energy of the young adults visiting their Parish that week.
